Jaclynstrong
Jaclynstrong was created to bring hope to families and patients after tragedy, reminding them that healing is possible and that a meaningful, rewarding life can still be built. We walk with families one day, one hour, and one minute at a time, with God leading and guiding every step.
As guest speakers, we demonstrate the combination of mental health and physical fitness can create a powerful impact on both mind and body. Our goal is to motivate and inspire individuals to overcome challenges, persevere, and never give up, while strengthening communities through resilience and unity.
Through our partnership with the Paso del Norte Community Foundation the Jaclynstrong Foundation provides vital support to families facing traumatic brain injury, offering resources, encouragement, and hope during their most challenging moments.

After a terrible car accident as a passenger, Jaclyn was told she would be in a vegetative state after having a traumatic brain injury.

STORY
Jaclyn spent 7 months in the hospital, she was in ICU for 3 months, did not talk for 12 months and was not able to open her mouth or move her tongue. She could not move her arms or legs, she was in a wheelchair for 2 and 1/2 years. She had a tracheotomy and a feeding tube. She has had therapy for several years and she is recovering.
She is back at UTEP and is an inspiration to so many that have had no hope. She will graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso in December 2026 with her degree in neuropsychology. She will pursue her Master's and PhD degree to become a neuropsychologist.
Her light shines for so many and we are blessed to share her story and show how you can overcome the worst time in your life when God is in complete control. Jaclyn is now a mentor for other patients at TIRR in Houston and her picture and story hang on their Wall of Hope so her journey can help someone else in the same situation. She is the 1st person from the Disorders of Consciousness Program to have her picture hung on the wall.
Jaclyn and Sheri will become the first brand ambassadors for TBI patients at the University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.
We now have a jaclynstrong foundation to give back! We give God all of the honor and glory.

She spent 29 years in the educational field, serving as a substitute teacher, classroom teacher, math and science coach, assistant principal, principal, and Director of New Teachers for the Ysleta, Socorro, and San Elizario school districts. Today, she leads the Jaclynstrong Foundation alongside Jaclyn and her husband, Dennis.
She has been a group fitness instructor for 39 years, owned her own gym, and worked as a personal trainer. Most importantly, she is a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful children, Jacob and me. Over the last several years, she has been my full‑time caregiver after I survived a serious automobile accident. My parents and brother have stood by my side every step of the way. Together, we have shared our story with hospitals, doctors, universities, churches, and nurses to offer hope, encouragement, and inspiration.
She has written a book about our journey, now in the publishing phase and expected to be released in fall 2026.
